In this image, live LAB (Lactic Acid Bacteria), stained in vibrant green fluorescence, are showcased within the rat intestinal cell lining. This visual representation illustrates the precise and controlled release of LAB from acid-stable microcapsules. This breakthrough technology ensures that LAB withstand high acidic environment in stomach and reaches its intended destination in the intestinal tract, optimizing its beneficial effects for gut health and overall well-being.

Unveiling the mystery of cholesterol assimilation by Pediococcus lactic acid bacteria the colourful way

"Seeing is believing! Simply behold the impactful and colourful illustration of direct cholesterol assimilation by the unique strain of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), Pediococcus pentosaceus LAB6. The confocal microscope image shows the localization of exogenous NBD-tagged cholesterol (fluoresce in green) assimilated by the spherical-shaped LAB (diameter~1 µm) in the presence of bile salt. The red fluorescence indicates the LAB cell membranes that were stained with Nile red.
